AI for your firm, without exposing professional secrecy

Swiss Confidentia classifies incoming mail, prepares draft replies that cite their legal basis and finds a document in your files. You review, correct and sign. Hosted and processed in Switzerland, on a dedicated instance for the firm.

Between AI and professional secrecy

AI has become an ordinary working tool: it finds a passage in a two-hundred-page file, prepares a draft reply, summarises an exchange of correspondence. A firm that goes without takes longer to reach the same result, finds it harder to justify its fees and sees fellow lawyers who use it get ahead faster.

Consumer AI assistants pose a different problem. Copying a document from a case file into one means handing it to a third party: processing most often outside Switzerland, with retention and use set by terms and conditions that change. For a lawyer, depending on the service and its settings, this may amount to a breach of professional secrecy (art. 321 of the Swiss Criminal Code) and of the data protection rules, for which the lawyer is personally responsible.

That leaves two poor solutions: giving up, or anonymising every document by hand before submitting it, and losing the time that AI was meant to save.

Swiss Confidentia was designed to get out of this dilemma. Your documents are processed in Switzerland, on a dedicated instance for your organisation. You choose who holds the encryption key, and therefore who can read your files. The model sorts the mail, prepares the replies and cites the legal basis; nothing goes out without your approval, and every action is entered in the action log.

Professional secrecy remains your decision.

Entrusting a file to a hosted service is a decision for the firm. The list of subcontractors is given to you before the contract is signed.

You choose who holds the encryption key, and therefore who can read your files. You also choose the access route to the instance: direct access in Switzerland, or via a network protection service.

Where data is processed, who decides whether it is sent

The legal basis and the source document.

Each draft reply states the legal basis it relies on. A search across your files returns the passage and the document it comes from. A draft can be wrong: you see it before it goes out.
